Hanapin Marketing is hiring a qualified Event Coordinator in our Marketing Department to help manage and advertise our quarterly digital marketing conferences.
The Event Coordinator will help plan our flagship event, Hero Conf, which is the world's highest-attended PPC conference. Additionally, this person will also help manage our smaller, quarterly, topical Hero Conf Summits. The Event Coordinator works to continue our 100% annual growth by ensuring we educate, entertain, and inspire our attendees, all while treating them like royalty!

Job requirements and work experience we expect you to have:
Able to work on-site at our Bloomington, IN office Monday through Friday from 8am - 5pm
1-3 years event management and office environment job experience required
Excellent Microsoft Office skills
Bachelor's degree
High attention to detail
Customer service orientation with a positive attitude
Professional demeanor - excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated - requires minimal supervision and enjoys just running with a task
Grace under pressure - keen critical thinking and problem solving abilities
Ability to travel as needed to attend conferences and site visits
Ability to perform physical tasks, including but not limited to moving boxes and equipment, packing items for shipping, moving furniture or exhibit pieces, and remaining standing or walking for extended periods of time
Is there anything else you need to know?
This position is about both logistics management of the event and marketing the event to prospective attendees. You'll need to enjoy doing marketing communications, as well as coordinating the event production.
You'll be working closely with our internal Hanapin staff, our many vendors, and our special guests.
You'll have to enjoy working with numbers at least a little bit because each part of the conference costs money - you will always have a budget to stick to and cost-savings opportunities to seek!
You'll need to like researching as there is no rule book on how to build the best PPC conference in the world. We rely on finding new ways to innovate, identifying interesting venues, and researching phenomenal special guests to keep it fresh every time.
What are some of Hanapin's flagship benefits?
Every quarter, the entire company gets an extra three-day weekend (called 2nd-2nd).
Flexible self-scheduling where team members work any 8 hours between 7am and 7pm. Option for a 4.5 day work week with a shortened Friday.
After their first year, team members may work remote 2 days per week from home.
Performance reviews at 30/60/90 days and semi-annually thereafter.
And of course, we have all the usual suspects, such as IRA with employer match, health, dental, vision, life insurance, 9 paid holidays, and a progressive time off policy with 10 days of PTO year 1, 15 days of PTO thereafter.
