Campus Children's Center is a state licensed and nationally accredited program on the campus of IU for children 6 weeks through preschool. Our programs serve IU student, staff and faculty families. For more information please visit our website.
Job Summary
Department Specific Responsibilities
Part-Time Morning Teacher Aide
  • Assists the full-time teachers in providing welcoming, calm, nurturing environment for infants, toddlers or preschoolers.
  • Interacts directly with the children indoors and outdoors, singing songs, playing games, and providing or assisting with children s personal care.
  • Assists with some food preparation and light cleaning.
Part-Time Rest Aide
  • Assists the full-time teachers in creating a calm, comfortable atmosphere where children can rest.
  • Rest Time Aides interact directly with children reading stories and engaging in quiet activities.
  • Assists with some light cleaning.
Part-Time Lunch / Rest Time Aide
  • Lunch/Rest Time Aides assists with lunch set up and some light cleaning. Lunch is provided.
  • Responsibilities include assisting the full time teachers in creating a calm, comfortable atmosphere where children can rest.
  • Rest Time Aides interact directly with children reading stories and engaging in quiet activities.
Part-Time Afternoon Teacher Aide
  • Assists the full-time teachers in providing safe and engaging experiences for children.
  • Interacts directly with the children indoors and outdoors, singing songs, playing games, and providing or assisting with children s personal care.
  • Assists with some light cleaning and room closing preparations.

Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED of GED)
WORK EXPERIENCE
Preferred
  • Previous related experience
SKILLS
Required
  • Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information

Working Conditions / Demands
Ability to move objects up to 40 pounds. Must be able to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Ability to work 5 days a week is preferred
Part-Time Morning Teacher Aide- Monday -Friday Infant and Toddlers 7:30-9:30 AM/ Preschoolers 8:00-9:30 AM
Part Time Rest Aide-Monday - Friday 12:15-2:45 PM
Part-Time Lunch / Rest Time Aide- Monday - Friday 11:30-2:30 PM
Part-Time Afternoon Teacher Aide- Monday - Friday 3:30-5:30 PM

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
