Job Summary
Department-Specific Responsibilities
  • Part-Time Morning Teacher Assistant
    • Assists the full-time teachers in providing a welcoming, calm, nurturing environment for students.
    • Interacts directly with the children indoors and outdoors, singing songs, playing games, and providing or assisting with children's personal care.
    • Assists with some food preparation and light cleaning.
  • Part-Time Rest / Afternoon Teacher Assistant
    • Assists the full-time teachers in creating a calm, comfortable atmosphere where children can rest.
    • Assists with PM Snack setting up and some light cleaning.
    • Interacts directly with the children indoors and outdoors, singing songs, playing games, and providing or assisting with children's personal care.
  • Part-Time Rest Time / Early Afternoon Assistant
    • Assists the full-time teachers in creating a calm, comfortable atmosphere where children can rest.
    • Interacts directly with children reading stories and engaging in quiet activities.
    • Assists with some light cleaning.
    • Interacts directly with the children indoors and outdoors, singing songs, playing games, and providing or assisting with children's personal care.
  • Part-Time Morning / Lunch / Rest Time Assistant
    • Interacts directly with the children indoors and outdoors, singing songs, playing games, and providing or assisting with children's personal care.
    • Assists with lunch set up and some light cleaning. Lunch is provided.
    • Assists the full-time teachers in creating a calm, comfortable atmosphere where children can rest.
    • Interacts directly with children reading stories and engaging in quiet activities.
  • Part-Time Afternoon Teacher Assistant
    • Assists the full-time teachers in providing safe and engaging experiences for children.
    • Interacts directly with the children indoors and outdoors, singing songs, playing games, and providing or assisting with children's personal care.
    • Assists with some light cleaning and room closing preparations.

Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)

WORK EXPERIENCE
Preferred
  • Experience working with preschoolers

SKILLS
Required
  • Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information

Working Conditions / Demands
This role regularly requires the ability to effectively communicate. This role frequently requires the ability to handle equipment. This role frequently requires the ability to remain stationary and ascend/descend ladders/stairs. This role requires the ability to move objects weighing up to 40 pounds. The role requires the ability to detect items in close proximity as well as far away; discern between colors; detect objects in peripheral space of self; discern items in detail; and to have good depth perception. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

Part-Time Rest / Afternoon Teacher Assistant: Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Part-Time Rest Time / Early Afternoon Assistant: Monday through Friday 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM
Part-Time Morning / Lunch / Rest Time Assistant: Monday through Friday 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM
Part-Time Afternoon Teacher Assistant: Monday through Friday 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM
Part-Time Lunch Assistant: Tuesday and Thursday 12:30 PM-2:30 PM

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
