Warmoth Bass Fender Jazz, licensed by Fender. Warmoth of Pallyup Washington State makes necks and bodies of fantastic woods. I made this bass for myself to be my "working bass" but I never returned to clubbing. After buying and selling many high dollar basses, like my Warwick neck thru Thumb , I wanted a bass I thought would be perfect. This is a great Washington State Native Maple Top on Alder Body, and a Brazilian Rosewood Fingerboard on Solid Maple Neck. The neck intentionally has no markings because I wanted to show off the Rosewood. The finish is KT-9 Winterbourne Varnish, it is impervious to hand sweat and polishes lilke a mirror. I made a CD of my building and finishing and it goes with the sale. The bass could be top coated with tinted KT-9 finish of any color. The pickups are EMG, with EMG Active treble/bass boost electronics, it takes two 9 volt batteries as recommended by EMG. The bridge is a Wilkinson with brass saddles (not shown in pic, that's a Hipshot) I changed out the Hipshot to the Wilkinson which lowered the strings closer to the fretboard. The Tuners are Hipshot black 27:1 gear ratio and hold their tuning perfectly. Presently the bass is strung with Hartke Medium Gauge Strings .50 ~ .70 ~ .85 ~ 1.05. I would recommend these for slap and pop or LaBella DeepTalkin' a little heavier and louder for funk.
